Alpha Dispatch Service

NorthernTel Mobility wishes to advise subscribers that the Alpha Dispatch Service will no longer be offered as of March 1st, 2002. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

However, please note that you may continue to send your messages using our paging software.  Even if you don’t always keep a computer on hand at all times, your friends and colleagues will still be able to leave you a digital message by telephone.

Voice Mail

A voice mailbox can be set-up in in order to receive voice messages when paged. When a caller dials a pager number of a NorthernTel Mobility voice mail customer, they are prompted to leave a numeric or voice message. If the caller leaves a voice message, the pager displays its own number. This alerts the customer that they have received a message. The customer then calls to access the Voice Mail. The voice mail feature will allow 20 second messages that will be stored up to 4 hours. The fee for this service is $2.25/month.

Personal Greeting

NorthernTel Mobility customers may leave a personal greeting that callers hear when they dial the pager to leave a 15 second message. This service is available for $1 per month for a 15-second greeting.

Voice Mail Notification

This service allows NorthernTel Mobility cellular voice mailbox subscribers to receive a notification page when someone has left a cellular voice mail message. When a voice message is left in your cellular mailbox, a message is delivered to your pager. The message that appears on your pager will be your cellular number. The customer may then call into their cellular mailbox to retrieve the message. The fee for this service is $1.50/month.

Voice Mail Plus

Voice Mail Plus allows NorthernTel Mobility customers to combine a personal greeting with extended message storage time and voice mail notification. This service is available for $5.50/month for twenty 40-second messages within 24-hour storage, cellular voice mail notification and a 15-second personal greeting.

Additional Coverage Zones

Planning to travel outside of the NorthernTel Mobility territory with your pager? Additional coverage zones are available so that you don't lose touch while you are away. The basic package price includes Zone 1 coverage, which includes Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Englehart and New Liskeard.
